IMAGERY: Master Visualization in Sport
Imagery theory and techniques for peak sport performance
In this course on Imagery I will teach you how to use Imagery and Visualization to become a better athlete.
Imagery is an extremely powerful mental tool that can have a major impact on performance, it truly is one of sport psychology's greatest weapons and when combined with physical training can make an athlete unstoppable.
Most athletes know about imagery, and hopefully you are practicing it to some degree, but we feel there isn't enough easily accessible guidance available for athletes who perhaps aren't able to see a sport psychologist regularly.
So here is what we have built for you in this course:
- Introduction to Imagery
- Imagery Theory (Who, What, Why, When and How)
- Immersive Imagery Techniques (includes guided audio)
- Imagery Exercises
- Imagery Worksheet
- Imagery Journal including cadence and speed
- Summary and next steps to keep you going
I am going to show you exactly why, when, where and how to use Imagery, and leave you with an abundance of techniques to master it.
The course also includes:
- Imagining performing at the peak of one’s potential
- Imagining all worst possible external scenarios and imaging conquering them
- Using imagery to review and practice skills when injured
- Imagining feeling confident - physically feeling it while seeing it in your mind
- And much more, include one Q&A with me to answer any question you may have directly
Hopefully you cannot wait to get started, because bottom-line is if you aren’t engaged in a consistent mental imagery program, you’re not doing everything you can to achieve your athletic goals. This course is going to make sure you have one and know exactly how to use it.
Imagine that!
See you inside athlete.
Dr. Rico Schuijers
Your Instructor
Hi, my name is Rico and I am a registered sports psychologist in Amsterdam! My daily work consists of training and coaching top athletes, individually or in a team. I've worked with several national teams and individuals with a main focus being the Olympic Games. I also work for air traffic control at Schiphol Airport and with the air force, as well as with conductors and musicians. The similarity between these professions is that they are stress professions, where a certain performance is expected at a certain moment. This is my speciality and I look forward to sharing it with you in this course!
